Dear Mr. Sorenson:
Powertech (USA) Inc. (Powertech) is requesting modifications to the Notice of Intent (NOI) File Number
P-2008-043 to Conduct Prospecting in connection with the Centennial Uranium Project in Weld County,
Colorado (the Project). The initial NOI was submitted to the Colorado Division of Reclamation and
Mining Safety (DRMS) on June 23, 2008.
Below is a listing of activities in chronological order conducted and requested under the P-2008-043
NOI.
• New P-2008-043 (Authorized by DRMS)
o Install 2 groundwater monitoring wells.
o Advance 8 exploration boreholes.
• P-2008-043 Modification-01 (Authorized by DRMS)
o Install 15 groundwater monitoring wells.
o Advance 1 exploration borehole.
• P-2008-043 Modification-02 (Withdrawn by Powertech)
o Conduct aquifer pump test and contain produced water in constructed pit.
• P-2008-043 Modification-03 (Currently under fourth review)
o Conduct aquifer pump test and re-inject produced water through the EPA UIC Program.
o Currently awaiting a Class V UIC Permit approval from EPA.
• P-2008-043 Modification-04 (Contained in this submittal)
o Conduct aquifer pump test and discharge produced water in accordance to Federal and
State laws.
Contained within this request for modification to the NOI File Number P-2008-043, please find the
completed Forms 1 and 2 required for DRMS Notices of Intent to Conduct Prospecting Operations for
Hard Rock/Metal Mines. Also included are supporting attachments to Forms 1 and 2, as well as the
