EXHIBIT K - Climate <br />MANCOS/POINT LOOKOUT AREA, MONTEZUMA COUNTY, COLORADO: <br />SUMMARY: Average annual precipitation is 15 inches of which approximately 50% <br />falls during the growing season. Optimum growing season for native plants is from <br />April to September. The frost-free period varies from 100 to 140 days. Temperature <br />ranges from -20's to +90's F. Much of the precipitation falls as snow but winters are <br />generally open. Summers are warm or hot, winters cold.
