7. Sources of Surface Water on site or potentially affected by operations on site: <br />a. Sources within '/2 mile of the site: <br />i. AP Camp WW Rt No 1. ID # 588, located west of permit area in SE IA SE <br />'/4 Sec 35: no technical details known. Diversion in on or west of Mud <br />Creek, the source is listed as "seep or waste," and is not expected to <br />be impacted. <br />ii. Fowler Ditch, ID # 526, located in SW '/4 SW '/4 Sec 25; ditch diversion, <br />no other details known. Diversion is on Mud Creek; upstream from site, <br />and is not expected to be impacted. <br />iii. Cedar Point Ditch, ID # 829, located in SE 1/4 SW '/4 Sec 25: ditch <br />diversion, 1.75 cfs decreed, no other details known. Diversion is on East <br />Fork of Mud Creek, upstream from site, and is not expected to be <br />impacted. <br />iv. Jordan Ditch, ID # 611, located in NW '/4SE'/4Sec 25: ditch <br />diversion, 0.75 cfs decreed, source East Fork of Mud Creek, <br />upstream from site, and is not expected to be impacted. <br />b. The only source of surface water on the site are the ponds fed by springs <br />or irrigation ditches, and Mud Creek itself, which flows through the <br />property but outside the permit area. The small ravine entering the <br />property from the east permit boundary between the north and south <br />nodes has no surface water due to drainage control upstream. <br />c. Springs on-site are most likely fed by flood irrigation of upslope areas, and <br />may be reduced significant in next 3 to 10 years due to conversion of <br />lateral ditches to pipes and flood irrigation to sprinkler irrigation, by the <br />Mancos River salinity Project beginning in 2004. No other springs or <br />potential for springs have been identified. <br />d. Mud Creek is a tributary of the Mancos River, in turn of the San Juan River, <br />a major tributary of the Colorado River. Mud Creek is not a rated fishery. <br />e. Jackson Reservoir, on the Mancos River, feeds the Boss Ditch; the Noland <br />property has the right to use of 90 acre-feet of Jackson Reservoir water, <br />together with 1 /6 interest in the Boss Ditch, and all interest in 1-3/8 cubic <br />feet of water per second of time : in said Boss Ditch under Priority No. 22, <br />Stream Priority No. M 21 taking water from the Rio Mancos, Water District <br />No. 34, per decrees of adjudication dated April 28, 1893 and December <br />18, 1933, and all interest in 1-1 /3 cubic feet of water per second of time in <br />the Sheek Extension of the Sheek Ditch, Priority No. 36, Stream Priority No. <br />36, taking water from the Rio Mancos, Water District No. 34., per decrees <br />of adjudication dated April 28, 1893 and December 18, 1933. <br />8. Water rights are owned and used by the landowner to water stock and <br />irrigate the fields on the property. This will continue except for the areas <br />temporarily disturbed by mining or used, post-mining, for plant and <br />stockpile sites. <br />9.
