Stark, Jim
From: Stark, Jim
Sent: 22 June, 2010 08:54
To: Boulay, Mike
Cc: Brown, Sandy
Subject: McClane Canyon MR-48
Attachments: McClane MR-48 RCE.pdf
Mike,
Attached is the reclamation cost estimate for McClane Canyon Mine's MR-48 - the removal of 2,370 feet of fiber optic
line. The liability for MR-48 is $9,055.00. Since the permit system shows that the current liability and current bond held
at the McClane Canyon Mine is $367,256.00, McClane will need to submit addition bond as a result of MR-48. The
standard cost for removing a single phone or utility pole (including removing the associated lines and disposal fees) is
$2.77/foot. In the cover letter for MR-48 Jim Stover suggests using a cost of $1.40/foot, with no reasoning given for this
amount. Based on the Division's data, the cost of $2.77/foot is correct. Please let me know if you have any questions
regarding this estimate.
I have placed a copy of this e-mail and estimate in for scanning. I will have Alysha send you the hard copies once they
are scanned.
James R.
