C-81-014
Dear Janet Binns:

This letter is with reference to your inspection report for the Southfield mine dated 05-24-2010.
Apparently while you were looking for the former Energy Fuels (EFCI) South Fan site, the area you
describe (and photos) in the report as having steel cables and a small, unvegetated rectangular plot is
the remnants of the prelaw abandoned mine, "Canon Monarch Mine". The barren rectangular plot is an
old concrete pad assumed to be from some former Monarch facility.
EFCI's reclaimed South Fan site is located farther to the west of the items described above. It is adjacent
to and slightly east of the west end of the same access road.
If you have any questions about the matter, please contact me.
Sincerely, 7
Av-??Z- L
George V Patterson
Energy Fuels Coal, Inc.
