•
.~-
April 27, 1990
•
_~
National King Coal
P.O. Box 2905
Durango, CO 81302
Attention: Brad Gosche
Dear Mr: Gosche, ~` ~- ~~ ~ -- ---'- - -
As you are aware I iecently visited the mine site to assess reclama-
tion requirements and associated costs. Pursuant to that visitation and
conversations with your staff and consultants I submit the following for
your consideration:
1. Contour slopes and waste material (approximately 9,000
cubic yards). Lump sum $15,000.00
2. Distribute topsoil over area. Price includes importing
approximately 3,000 cubic yards to supplement the 4200±
cubic yards stockpiled on site. Lump sum X25,000.00 -
3. Restoration of two drainage areas. Lump Sum ~10,000j.00
4. Removal of structures. Our company would be able to use
the material handling systems in our operations as well
•as most of the out buildings. We would propose to re-
move surface structures at no cost for the salvage
value to us.
5. Restoration of vegetation. tde would subcontract this
item. Discussions with various companies that special-
ize in this type of work indicate a cost range of
$750.00 to $900.00 per acre. We purpose to acquire the
services of such a company and supervise the work for a
fee of lOZ of subcontract cost. We would quarantee the
cost not to exceed $15,000.00
The total cost of this proposal to National King Coal would be a
maximum of X65,000.00 If I can be of additional assistance please
contact at your convenience.
i:..
Sincerely, _
Ronald W.
