PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Operations; P.O. Box 68, Empire, Colorado <br />80438, has filed an application for an Amendment to its approved Reclamation Permit <br />with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) under provisions of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act. The proposed Amendment, AM-06, replaces <br />withdrawn AM-05 and will: 1) Using updated mapping technology, correct the Affected <br />Land boundary and increase the total affected acres to 4117 acres by the gross addition of <br />568 acres of additional buffer space and top soil storage areas at the mill site; 2) Delete 2 <br />acres that encompass the Xcel Energy easement from the new total Affected Land; 3) <br />Include 1 acre of affected land (subsidence) adjacent to the mill portal (USFS Legal <br />Right-To-Enter)- new total Affected Land Area of 4117 acres. The proposed changes <br />will not change the existing land use or the present mining or milling operations at <br />Henderson. The location is multiple section portions in Township 2 and 3 South, Ranges <br />77 and 78 West, 6th Principal Meridian, Grand County, Colorado. <br />The proposed date of effect for this Amendment is immediately following approval by <br />the Board. There is no change in mining plan associated with this Amendment. <br />Additional information and tentative decision date may be obtained from the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567, at the Henderson Operations office, or at the Clerk and <br />Recorder's offices of Grand County (Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado) and Clear Creek <br />County (Georgetown, Colorado). <br />Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety by 20 days following last day of publication.
