Mining & Safety
1313 Sherman Street; Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Re: Geochemical Evaluation (Henderson Mine Permit ]VI-77-342)
Dear Mr. Sorenson:
Climax Molybdenum Company's Henderson Mine and Mill (Henderson) is in the process
of revising Technical Revision 05 (TR-05) to formally establish a ground water protection
program under its Reclamation Permit No. M-77-342. As a part of this process, we request
consideration from the Department of Reclamation, Mining and Safety of the following proposed
Geochemical Evaluation and Sampling Plan. The evaluation is intended to identify a relevant set
of analytes associated with site operations to establish monitoring requirements and numeric
limitations. The attached documents summarize the proposed sampling plan and parameters to be
tested.
We intend to implement the plan upon your approval and once the snow has melted
sufficiently to allow access to the sampling locations, hopefully within the next few weeks.
Please contact me at (303) 569-3221, ext. 1539 if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,,
William Katz
Henderson Mine
