Shift: Day/Night Reporting Period: 5/2/10 through 5/8/10 Days S M T W T F S Work Shifts - D D D D D D - N N N N N - D = Day Shift N = Night Shift Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 21 °F to 36°F (+/-) AMES: No issues CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: High: 48°F to 64°F (+/-) II) EARTHWORKS A) Stripping 1) VLF Topsoil stripping was performed during clay excavation using one CAT D-8 dozer and one CAT 330 excavator at the East Cresson Clay Borrow. Haulage of topsoil to the East Cresson Clay Borrow topsoil stockpile continued using tandem-axel haul trucks. B) Subgrade Preparation 1) VLF Fine grading, moisture conditioning, and compaction of subgrade, preparing for soil liner fill placement, was performed between stations B0+50 (+/-) and B13+00 (+/-), approximately 0 to 550 feet right of centerline. Preparation was performed using various CAT dozers, a tandem- axel water truck, and a 10-ton vibratory smooth drum compactor. The area was inspected and approved by AMEC and Ames representatives. The area approved throughout the week is shown in Attachment A. C) Slope Contouring 1) VLF Slope contouring was performed in the following areas: between stations 130+00 (+/-) and B12+00 (+/-), approximately 0 to 300 feet right of centerline; between stations C1+00 (+/-) and C6+00 (+/-), approximately 75 to 100 feet right of centerline; between stations E4+00 (+/-) and E8+00 (+/-), approximately 0 to 75 feet left of centerline; between stations F0+00 (+/-) and F12+00 (+/-), approximately 100 feet left of centerline to 300 feet right of centerline; between VLF Weekly Report WE 05.08.10.13
