Rimrock Exploration & Development, Inc.
J-Bird Uranium Mine/ DMO/ EPP Groundwater Quality Data
9.0 GROUNDWATERQUALITY DATA
Recent drill data and current underground conditions, suggests no groundwater exists
within or immediately below the mineralized zone of the formation to be mined.
Rimrock has developed a hydrology rationale for DRMS review and approval of drill
holes for groundwater presence or absence (Section 8 - Groundwater Information).
DRMS will require monitoring of groundwater presence or absence to adequately
determine baseline conditions. As directed by DBMS, in previous communication dated
September 23, 2008 regarding the Liberty Mine NOI Mod #2 (paragraph C), five (5)
quarters of data are required. "If no water is encountered initially, then a piezometer
should be constructed to gather the required five quarters of data. If ground water is
detected in measurable amounts then the piezometers may need to be pulled and water
quality monitor wells constructed. . . .Construction details such as screen intervals,
general equipment installation requirements, etc., will need to be reviewed by the
Division if BlueRock intends to construct the wells."
If groundwater of significant presence (>I gpm) is measured for two consecutive quarters,
SPLP parameter analysis for five quarters using a state certified laboratory will be
performed identifying the following (seeAttachment D
Table 1
DRMS Recommended Water Ouality /Geochemical Analvtes
Field pH Nickel Ammonia
Electrical Conductivity Nitrate + Nitrite Antimony
Aluminum Selenium Beryllium
Arsenic Sulfate Chromium
Barium Uranium Chloride
Cadmium Vanadium Fluoride
Copper Zinc Manganese
Iron Gross Alpha Mercury
Lead Silver
Molybdenum Thallium
15
