Varra Companies, Inc.
Office of Special Projects
1431 East 16'" Strcci Greeley Colorado 80631 Telephone (970) 353-HZ I O Fax (970)353 4047
JUNE 2010 ANNUAL REPORT - M78-056 - DURHAM -PIT 117
Extraction continues in Area A in a westerly direction extending nearly to the scale-
house, and will progress along Area A north of the scalehouse. Area C is predominantly
stockpiles. In 2007, wet plant operations were moved to the North end of Area B to
facilitate continued extraction activities, as indicated in the 2007 Annual Report.
Extraction will continue along the northern boundary of Area A and the pit bottom, and
the opening of Area B from the south end through 2010-2011.
Grading has been concurrent with extraction, and the majority of Area A perimeter banks
have been soiled and seeded in the winter and spring of 2010. Vegetation is presently
emerging along the seeded areas.
Filling of Area D is continuing along the Southern boundary of Area D, while approved
flood abatement activities have been completed along the bean separating Area D along
the Southern boundary of the Cache La Poudre River. This location was previously
seeded and vegetation has emerged and survived into the present year.
