location, but the velocity is apparently high. This ditch will be
• with 3h:ly and 2h:ly side slopes and designed per the attached
Vhaped LI
SECM analysis (Pages 7- 6 -3 -15a to 15d) and riprapped similar to the
ditch near the office.
Old Boneyird Ditch
This ditch was constructed to carry the runoff from the boneyard pond
around the boneyard area. This watershed includes the area which flows
into the boneyard ditch, the pond and the area adjacent to the ditch. The
drainage area for the ditch is approximately 936 acres. This ditch is
generally two to three feet deep and five to six feet wide at the top.
Runoff from this ditch exits just east of the entrance road to the new
boneyard. This water is conveyed off the permit area via the haul road
ditch. Please refer to the following SEDCCAD printouts for further
information.
office Diversion Ditch
The office ditch was constructed to intercept the runoff above the office
• area and carry it away from the facilities. This area drains
approximately three acres. The upper portion of the ditch is
approximately two feet deep and four feet wide. Over the years, since the
ditch was constructed in 1984, downcutting became a problem on the lower
reach of the ditch. This area has recently been regraded and the channel
riprapped to prevent this from occurring in the future. This section is
approximately 12 feet wide at the top and 2 feet. deep. Please refer to
the following SEDCAD printout for additional information.
Wadcae Pit Diversion No. IA
The Wadge Pit diversion was constructed to carry the runoff from the pit
area and discharge it into the drainage above Ponca 008. 'Iris diversion is
not a relocation of Diversion No. 1 which may still be constructed. This
ditch is actually a combination of a portion of the Wadge Scraper Pit
Ditch (10 feet wide and 2 feet deep), the ditch on the northeastern extent
of the topsoil removal limits and the ditch at the base of the spoil ( 3
feet deep and 12 feet wide at the top). The lower reach of this ditch was
• constructed to intercept the runoff prior to reaching the old diversion
7 -6 -3 -9 Revised 12/02/93
