While we support this acreage reduction request, all
acreage release requests submitted to the Division must comply with section 4.17.1 of the Rule. In this case, we also need
the name, address, and phone number of the owner(s) of the property to be released. Also, because this is only a partial
release, we need a map clearly showing the area to be released from the permit. We will accept your initial letter stating
that this is unaffected area as the required signed statement that all reclamation requirements have been met. Per the rule,
all release requests should also be sent to the Division via certified mail separate from any other correspondence.
Please submit the required ownership information and map showing the area to be released from the permit to the
Division via certified mail by June 26, 2010. As soon as we receive this information from you, we will send out the
required notifications and process the release.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely60ilj-
Eric C.
