Ll
0
decreases such that significant deposition occurs or until the flow enters a defined
channel. The slope length for PECOCO was determined to be 720 feet.
Average Slope The average slope is the typical or representative slope (in percent) for
overland flow for the watershed. This was determined to be 22.0 percent.
C and P Factors The C factor, the cover and management factor, is the ratio of soil loss
from an area with specified cover and management to that from an identical area in tilled
continuous fallow.
The P factor, the support practice factor, is the ratio of soil loss with a support
practice like contouring, strip cropping, or terracing to that with straight -row farming
up and down the slope.
The C factor was determined with the aid of the USDA -ARS revised USLE software program for
each cover type with the overall drainage area. The P factor is based on current or
future practice. Table 7 -6G-7 shows the results for the C and P factors for the various
areas. Table 7-6G -8 is a weighted average.
STORAGE CAPACITY
The storage capacity of PECOCO was also analyzed using the SEDCAD computer program.
A summary of the designed storage capacity is shown below.
Elev.
Stage
Area
Capacity
Total
(ft.)
(ft.)
(ac.)
(ac.-ft.)
(ac. -ft.)
6750
0.0
.144
0.0
0.0
6755
5.0
.558
1.75
1,75
6760
10.0
.747
3.27
5.02
6765
15.0
1.071
4.54
9.56
6770
20.0
1.462
6.33
15.89
6774.9
24.9
1,980
x.42
24.31
6775
25.0
1.988
0.10
24.51
6777
Z7.0
2.308
4.30
8.rs1
6780
30.0
2.789
7,65
16.46
6781
31.0
2.950
?7
X3.33
7 -6g-1 5
Description
Bottom of Pond
Principal Spillway
Emergency Spillway
fop or Embankment
NOR 006575
i
