Seneca Coal Company Weed Management Plan
40 control will be considered when making the decision to use this
method.
IO.All disturbed areas will be seeded with a competitive grass mix, see
attached list.
Monitoring and Reporting
1.
Each spring prior to control application the land manager at SCC
will survey and map, as accurately as possible, all weed
infestations. SCC will map weed infestations using a contour
search pattern, i.e. following the contour on a 100 to 200 ft.
detection swath on foot or with an ATV. The information will be
recorded on an aerial photo with a minimum scale of 1"= 500ft.
scale.
2.
The map will be a permanent record available for inspection by the
Routt County weed coordinator and any other interested party.
3.
Weed control activities will be reported each year for each mine
permit to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology via the
Annual Reclamation Report. These documents will also be
available for public inspection.
4.
An evaluation of the effectiveness of the weed control effort will be
included in the annual reports.
5.
This weed management plan will be amended as necessary to
reflect changes in species and control methods.
a
7 January 2005
