Seneca Coal Company Weed Management Plan <br />40 control will be considered when making the decision to use this <br />method. <br />IO.All disturbed areas will be seeded with a competitive grass mix, see <br />attached list. <br />Monitoring and Reporting <br />1. <br />Each spring prior to control application the land manager at SCC <br />will survey and map, as accurately as possible, all weed <br />infestations. SCC will map weed infestations using a contour <br />search pattern, i.e. following the contour on a 100 to 200 ft. <br />detection swath on foot or with an ATV. The information will be <br />recorded on an aerial photo with a minimum scale of 1"= 500ft. <br />scale. <br />2. <br />The map will be a permanent record available for inspection by the <br />Routt County weed coordinator and any other interested party. <br />3. <br />Weed control activities will be reported each year for each mine <br />permit to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology via the <br />Annual Reclamation Report. These documents will also be <br />available for public inspection. <br />4. <br />An evaluation of the effectiveness of the weed control effort will be <br />included in the annual reports. <br />5. <br />This weed management plan will be amended as necessary to <br />reflect changes in species and control methods. <br />�a <br />7 January 2005 <br />
