(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: X107-031
INSPECTION DATE: 5/96!10 INSPECTORS INITIALS: RK _
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted an inspection of the site while in the area conducting other
inspections. The site a small sluicing operation for gold and silver during the summer
months. The main purpose of the inspection was to verify the fact that the operation has
adequate free board in the ponds prior to commencement of operation. All the water for
the operation is hauled to the site. Operator has an active discharge permit from the
Colorado Department of Health.
The site was not active at the time of the inspection. Permit sign properly posted at the
access to the property.
The entire permit area is fenced. All ponds holding water, with adequate free board. A
couple of front end loaders utilized to restrict access to the property.
The site was as described during the last site visit to verify pond levels. If the
operator plans to commence operation, it is important not to exceed the limits of mining
along the West side. The permit boundary fence is barely hanging delineating the limits
of mining in this area, due to instability of the fence. Operator has been notified of
this issue in the past. Since the boundary has not been exceeded it will not be cited as
a possible problem. The fact that the fence is hanging like it is not considered a
possible problem unless the operator affects area outside of the fence line-The current
warranty in place in the amount of $6352.00 is more than adequate to cover the cost of
reclamation.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR.FOSTER SCOTT
OPERATOR: THE TURQUOISE CONNECTION
STREET: 910 PRAY AVE
CITY/STATE/ZIP: CANON CITY, C-0 61919
cc: r CE
F BL
F FS,
F HW
F HMWMD (CH)
F
F SE
F WQCD (CH)
F OTHER
