RULE 2 - PERMITS
Electrical Ming Station — The ming station will be located northwest of the portal area. The ming
• station will be a pole mounted disconnect and a system of ms on a concrete pad 30 x 30 feet. The
station will be enclosed in a security fence with a locked gate.
Million Gallon Water Tank and Pump House — The million gallon water tank includes
construction of a reinforced concrete pad and footers, installation of a water tank and associated
pumping installation, and drilling of a nominal 13 -inch borehole from the surface to the
underground workings from the utility pad above the portal entries. SCCC proposes to construct a
steel water tank 85 feet in diameter and 24 feet high designed to hold one million gallons. The tank
will rest on a reinforced concrete foundation consisting of a spread- footer, stem wall, and slab floor
supported by concrete pilings. Preparation of the tank foundation area will involve grading,
compaction, and excavation for the support pilings and spread- footer. Following site preparation,
the reinforced concrete pilings and footers will be formed, and poured, followed by the reinforced
concrete pad and stem wall. The steel tank will be fabricated in sections which will be placed and
anchored on the stem wall. A water -tight liner system will complete the tank installation. The
pump house will include valves and manifolds to control the water to the operation.
Roads
The following roads will be constructed or reconstructed and maintained to support the proposed
PSCM operations;
• Haulroads
•
Road A
— existing, re- designed
••
Road A -1 — existing, re- designed
o
Road A -2 — new
•
Road B
— existing, re- designed
•
Road B -1
— existing, re- designed
•
Road C
— existing, re- designed
•
Road D
— new
• Access Roads
o Road C -1 — new
• Road E -1 —existing, approved postmine road
• Road E — existing, approved postmine road
In -Pit Roads
• Road B -2
• Pit Ramp (Roal F)
Designs for all mine roads comply with applicable provisions of Rules 4.03 and 4.04.
Specifications for each road are summarized or referenced in the following sections.
