2) If sample adequacy exists atin the 3ite vear averaoe and the Zyear mean value at -the -site
is less than Q, a "standard null" one -sided Mest with alpha error probability of 0.10 will be used,
in conformance with DRMS Regulation 4.15.11(2)(b), using the general form of the one -sided t-
test as follows:
rc Q-2
3
Where:
x = Bond Release Block Sample Mean
Q = 909 of Standard
S- = Standard error of mean [s /f ]
S = Sample standard deviation
n = Sample size
t, = Calculated t value
t, = Table t value
The null hypothesis being tested is that the mean value at the site is greater than or equal to Q,
with 90% statistical confidence. If t is less than or equal to the 1- tailed t table value for alpha
error probability of 0.10, at n -1 degrees of freedom (infinite degrees of freedom may be used if
n > 30), then the null hypothesis is not rejected, and revegetation is deemed successful.
3) If sample adequacy is not achieved atin the site vear averaoe and the following 2 conditions
are met: 1) a minimum of 30 samples were taken at the site, and 2) mean production at the
site vear averaoe is greater than Q, a "reverse null" hypothesis will be tested using a one-
PR -06 May 2010 2.05.4(2)(e) - 43
