is too small to be considered prime farmland soil-and was never managed as prime farmland in <br />the past. For this reason, this small tract is not considered prime farmland and the special <br />handling procedures for prime farmland soil do not apply. This was verged by the NRCS in <br />2008. See NRCS letter dated June 27, 2008 in Attachment 2.04.9 -10. <br />6) Area north of BB Road and east of 2700 Road <br />The area east of 2700 Road and north of BB Road has been fully reclaimed with topsoil and <br />subsoil prior to the prime farmland determination of 2008. In this area, two areas of 98E soil <br />exist. One is 16.94 acres and the other is 1.32 acres. Also, an area of 1.24 acres of 98A soil <br />exists. These areas are located on the Benson property east of 2700 Road. None of these <br />areas were ever managed as prime farmland prior to mining. The 16.94 acre parcel has been <br />reclaimed to Irrigated Pasture, as desired by the landowner. The NRCS is not considering these <br />areas prime farmland. <br />Therefore, the total area iv- ` 'mated -esof prime farmland soils in the oermit is 112.72 acres: <br />107.96 acres (-sHof the Morgan property in the permit area and 4.76 acres of Western Fuels <br />land in the northwest corner of the permit. The total area of prime farmland to be reclaimed as <br />part of the permit is 111.92, a combination of the 107.96 acres on the Morgans and 3.96 acres <br />on the WFC property (not all of the 4 76 acres of prime farmland soils on the WFC propert y will <br />be disturbed <br />(Revised October 09) 2.04.9 -21 <br />
