I am enclosing this letter to further explain the changes that were made to the
maps and supporting documents.
All maps have been signed and sealed. The storm water and sediment control measures
have been added to the mining plan map (Exhibit Q. The names and locations of all
creeks, roads, buildings, oil and gas lines, power and communication lines have been
shown and labeled. Spring Creek runs Westerly of the proposed gravel pit, a
Transmission Line owned by White River Electric also runs Westerly of the proposed pit
and a 1984 BLM aluminum monument for the North'/4 corner of section 6, exists within
the proposed gravel pit. There are no additional man-made features within the required
300 foot proximity to the pit.
The topography of the surrounding property is being shown for the access road and
proposed gravel pit on an additional map (Exhibit C - USGS Topo Map). The USGS
Topo map is shown at 20 foot contour intervals and the actual existing ground contours
shot in with GPS for the proposed gravel pit are also shown on the map at the same 20
foot contour intervals.
As requested there is a signed and notorized agreement between White River Electric
Association and Rio Blanco County for any possible damage to the Transmission line
that lies adjacent to the proposed pit. There also is a revised page in the mining plan,
page 19, that clearly states that no direct impact is expected or anticipated on ground
water and/or surface water. Also attached is a receipt from the Rio Blanco County Clerk
