p.8
. . F
r
BACK TO CROPS. Our Lease agreement also states that. We will not except any less that what
we had.
So, they think they are following the rules and regulations and protecting the landowner. HOW?
Thank you for your consideration and will look forward to hearing from you and speaking with
you. All we ever wanted was to have our property put back as good as it was prior to the mine
entering the property. Remove the soil, take their coal, put our soils back. Why do all of you
make it so hard and why couldn't the State just make WFC do that? Why was it so hard for
WFC to just remove our soils, they knew it was prime farmland and had been told for years prior
to them even signing the lease. Remove our soils in the 2 lifts that they had been doing, take
their coal, put our soils back as Lance agreed and we were all told and follow right behind the
mine as we were told and had always done, reclaim it and go on with our lives. WHY? WHY
did the State not protect us? Why should we have to object? WHY? The laws are fairly simple
and straight forward, so why add things and make it complicated? Come and let us show you
how they have started putting it back. The rocks that we asked them to make sure were not there
are there.. The slope already 7 feet higher than what we had. We cannot ever IRRIGATE like
we were. All of you think wow they are going to put side rolls. We already had siderolls long
before western fuels and we had other means of irrigating, to RAISE CORN. HOW DO YOU
RAISE CORN UNDER A SIDE ROLL???. And, Western Fuels wanted to furnish the USE OF
THE USE of three siderolls. We have already spent thousands on irrigating equipment and we
had all of it in place to RAISE EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO RAISE. To conditions as
good as or better, how is having to figure out how to irrigate again after bond release when there
will be NO SYSTEMS to irrigate with. THE USE OF. This was never agreed upon and will not
be accepted. The systems we used can never be used again because of the way they are putting it
back. TODAYS things. I would like to see a copy of this prime farmland investigation that was
NEVER done and by whom was it done????" The fanner was NEVER talked to and EVER.ONE
in this country knows that we raised crops for sell and have long before the lease was signed.
WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO GO AN GET A LETTER FROM EVERY FARMER IN THIS
COUNTRY???? I HAVE SENT Marcia a copy of all of them signing it stating we have always
raised alfalfa and we have always had sufficient water. It was signed by Weimers, Coopers,
Gabriels, Olivers, Carvers, Galleys, Richards and Richards, and everyone in this area. What
happened to that letter? It was certified 2 years ago and sent to Marcia.
Jim Boyd from NRCS said if 7.4 was the criteria for Prime Farm
land, that there would be No prime farmland in the entire state. In this so called prime farmland
investigation in 1998, why was MRCS never called?
Kinda funny isn't it? They use Jim Boyd or Mr. Dearstyne every ter, minutes for everything else
but this so called investigation that was never done, they didn't make one call, they didn't get one
letter. Instead they took the letter of Dean Stindts that I sent you and DISQUALIFIED EVERY
ACRE OF BARX SOILS IN THIS ENTIRE AREA WITH FALSE DOCUMENTATION! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING THIS?? WHY WOULD THE STATE OR FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN??? You have it now in your possession, read for
%
? r ?t c7 ??: ? cl/ ?y •----
