Potential cracks were observed in aerial photographs taken by Division staff on April 27, 2010. These
are near the D/E Pit and the East A Pit. In both areas, field observations and discussions with
Trapper staff indicate that these are gullies caused by erosion and they drain to the pits.
A discussion with Graham Roberts and Forrest Luke in the office indicated that contour ditches at
reclamation areas (e.g., SL-11 parcels) are not sized with calculations, but rather operators are
instructed to cut them approximately 3 feet deep and at a 1%to 2%slope.
General Mine Plan Compliance
The east side of the permit area was inspected and no disturbance was observed outside of the
approved disturbance area. In particular, the East A Pit is not close to the disturbed area boundary.
Documents Received
Graham Roberts of Trapper Mining Inc. provided the Division with revisions to the 2009 ARR JR-
107). An error regarding topography on the maps in the original submittal has been corrected.
