RULE 2 - PERMITS
anatum), ferruginous hawk (Buteo regalis), greater sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus),
white-faced ibis (Plegadis chihi), northern pocket gopher (Thomomys talpoides), and midget faded
rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus concolor). See Table 2.04.11-T6 for further detail on habitat
associations and status of these species. One historic greater sage-grouse lek is located to the west
of the permit area (Exhibit 2.04.11-E1, Fish and Wildlife Information). Over the past two decades
(1989-2008), no greater sage-grouse have been observed at the lek. The greater sage-grouse has
recently been designated as a candidate species by the USFWS (March 23, 2010, Federal Notice
75FR13910-14014). SCCC will continue efforts to minimize or avoid affects to the greater sage-
grouse. SCCC will continue to support USFWS and CDOW efforts for this species.
PSCM Permit App. 2.04-172 Revised 05/05/2010
