Box 1430 Palisade CO 81526 Dear People: CIVIL ENGINEERING CONST. MANAGEMENT Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. (SCC) is responsible for the reclamation of the Roadside North and South Portals under Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS), Permit No. C-81-041. The mine ceased its underground workings in December, 1999. SCC has formally requested a bond release from the DRMS asking that approximately 7288 acres be released from the bond. In accordance with the Division's Rule 3.03.2(1), SCC is required to send written notice of its bond release request to adjacent land owners, surface owners and various local governing bodies. The area for which the bond release is being requested is the Roadside Mines, North and South Portals, and are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No. 46. The areas SCC is requesting released have had no surface disturbances in regards to mining facilities or structures, although portions of these areas have been undermined. The areas are more particularly described as follows: Township 10 South. Ranae 98 West. 6th P.M.. Mesa Countv. CO All or portions of Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34 & 35 Township 11 South, Range 98 West, 6th P.M., Mesa County, CO All or portions of Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 & 14 Township 11 South, Range 97 West, 6th P.M., Mesa County, CO All or portions of Sections 6, 7 & 18 Township 1 South.
