OMO
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Annual Report for the Mid-Continent LST M-1982-121
To Whom It May Concern:
APR 2 3 2010
L[ www of Keaamt+an,
onin9 and Safety
April 16, 2010
CaIX Minerals, LLC acquired the quarry early in 2009. Most of the activities at the site addressed
upgrading or installing BMP's to address the numerous regulatory requirements. Some production
blasting occurred. The blasting was used to remove dangerous rock and to level the blasting bench as
shown on the enclosed map. We blasted approximately 30,000 tons of limestone during the 2009
mining season. Two shots occurred. The first blast took place in June and the final blast occurred just
after Labor Day as requested by our neighbor (Glenwood Adventure Park). Approximately half the
limestone was crushed and screened for sale. During 2009, we permitted the installation of a rock dust
mill for the site. Pad construction was completed by the end of the year and the mill building was
shelled in. We anticipate the start of the mill to be June of 2010. We also anticipate blasting to resume
in May or June to supply feedstock to the mill. No additional reclamation work has occurred, however
no increase to the disturbed area has occurred.
Thank you,
Ben Miller
Mine Manager
Ca1X Minerals, LLC (303)761-4770 (Phone) 204 W. Hamilton PI
(303)761-4778 (FAX) Sheridan, CO 80110
