I would like to be on record that I am
opposed to this project and request Party Status for any further proceedings.
My points of contention are multiple. Wildcat Corporation has placed a rock crusher,
tailings ponds and slurry equipment on the Idaho Mine property which adjoins the
Mayday Mine property. Currently there is a free standing rock crusher, unused tailings
ponds full of noxious weeds, fallen trees as pseudo damn, and disturbed dirt around this
entire landing. This has never been reclamation and the landing as well as the
surrounding area has been severely destroyed. Shouldn't the Idaho be bonded and
included in this current permit application? Obviously after 3+ years post disturbance
Wildcat has no intention of reclamation this area. The burden will fall on you.
The Mayday Mine was created by Wildcat's total disregard for rules and regulations.
They continue to be fined and ticketed by multiple government agencies. If permitted
they will only continue to push the limits of all entities. I am asking you as a property
owner that if you permit this loose company that they are bonded to the highest amount
possible. This is not their property, it is leased, and they can't promise you anything.
I also feel that prior to any further permits the Wildcat Corporation needs to bring the
current bridge to compliance as well as their access road. These both are safety issues
that need to be addressed. Currently they have a road that needs to be brought up to code.
Remember that an older bridge was torn down and a new bridge was constructed without
any proper engineering. The load limit is currently to low for our fire and rescue vehicles
to safely cross.
Bringing the road to the proper grade will increase the disturbed property and I feel a 112
permit would be what they need.
Sincerely:
Lisa Giovanniello
n
