NOTES
1. The project area is part of a larger parcel zoned agricul
ture. Surrounding properties are zoned agriculture.
Existing Conditional Uses for gravel mining exist to the
immediate west and along County Road 613 to the east.

3. No permanent structures will be built on the project area
during mining. There is adequate space in the plant area
for parking and loading areas.
4. Reclamation will run concurrent with mining per the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board permit. State permit submitted
on 31-March-2009. (Permit # M-2009-027).

MINING DIRECTION
2. This will be a sand and gravel mining operation. Activities
will include mining, processing, stockpiling and hauling of
the mined material.
5. A sign identifying the mine, per the state reclamation law,
will be placed at the mines' entrance.
6. There are no easements on the project area.
7. No permanent utilities are needed to develop the mine.
Portable toilets and bottled water will be supplied during
active periods at the mine. The portable processing plant
is self contained supplying it own power source.
8. Side slopes from the existing surface to the mine floor will
be graded 3h to Iv. 5tormwater will be retained on site
during the life of the mine and allowed to evaporate or soak
into the ground. Reclamation will be completed according
the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board permit that is
part of this Conditional Use permit application.
9. Site will be develop in two stages. Initially a 9.99 acres
area will be mined. Some time in the future the state
permit will be expanded to cover the entire 26.73 acres
contained in this Conditional Use permit. A copy of the new
permit will be provided to Planning Services for the file.
10. The Homestead Canal is abandoned and has been removed
on the mine to the west of this site. Mining will remove the
section that crosses the Conditional Use area.
