Oakridge and the county have signed a letter of mutual interest in constructing infrastructure (a road) across
Ewing Mesa, including a segment through the coal mine permit area. The letter expresses the agreement to proceed with
negotiations toward this development and acknowledges Oakridge's interest in providing access to the already platted
residential ranchettes. If this letter would support Oakridge's assertion that the post- mining land use has been /is being
implemented, I could see if I can obtain a copy for Division review. Understandably, neither Oakridge or La Plata County
are in a position to disclose, as of yet unfinalized plans, but I think this agreement reinforces Oakridge's post- mining
residential development plans.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Mike Savage
- - - -- Original Message---- -
From: "Hernandez, Daniel"
Sent: Apr 14, 2010 11:36 AM
To: sav_ageandsavage(cDearthl ink. net
Cc: "Berry, David", "Kaldenbach, Tom", "Erickson, Wally"
Subject: Carbon Junction SL4
