Pineda <br />Director <br />RE: Expiration of Public Comment Period <br />Termination of Jurisdiction, Trinidad Basin Mine, Permit No. C-81-048 <br />Dear Las Animas County Commissioners: <br />The public comment period concerning the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(DBMS) proposed decision to terminate jurisdiction at the reclaimed Trinidad Basin Coal Mine (fBM) <br />expired at 5:00 PM on April 12, 2010. No comments were received and therefore, our decision is now <br />final. The permit area and mine site are located about 5.5 miles west of the Ludlow exit on 1-25 in <br />Delagua Canyon in Las Animas County. The disturbed and reclaimed areas are in Sections 15 and <br />22, T31S R65W of the 6m Principle Meridian <br />This notification requires no specific action on your part and is for your information only.
