Cattany <br />RE: Amendment No. 1, PKA -10 -1173 Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Thank you for your interest in the Last Call at Fruita Mine Bond Revocation Project. Please <br />remember that bids will be opened September 14, 2009 at 3:30pm. <br />The following clarifications and amendments should be noted and incorporated into the bid <br />documents: <br />1. A list of the Pre -Bid Meeting attendees is attached to this amendment. <br />2. The date of submission of the price quotation has been changed to September 14, 2009. A <br />REVISED Bid Schedule is attached. Please submit your bid using the REVISED Bid <br />Schedule. <br />3. Task 4: Drainage channel repair has been revised. The repair to the channel involves <br />excavation of the slump area thirty feet (30') wide by twenty feet (20') long and four foot (4') <br />deep to be keyed up against the old channel and act as an energy dissipater. Three foot <br />(3') and four foot (4') rocks will be placed in the excavation area and covered with smaller <br />nominal eighteen inch (18 ") and two foot (2') diameter rocks. Rocks deposited at the lower <br />end will be spread out over the channel. Equipment access is allowed on the lower road to <br />accommodate repairs. <br />4. Item 4: Three smaller voids on the upper section of the channel will need to be filled in with <br />rock by hand labor. Dimensions of each void are approximately ten feet (10') wide by five <br />feet (5') long and two feet (2') deep. <br />5. Task 6: The bid schedule has been revised for the revegetation of two (2) acres to include <br />the upper portal area and the access road leading to the drainage channel repairs. <br />6. Task 7: Material to be compacted along the sediment pond is seventy feet (70') long by five <br />feet (5) wide by five feet (5') high. Material may be obtained from the adjacent berm or <br />sediment located in the pond. <br />7. Task 8: Equipment Rental has been changed to a CAT 320 BL or equivalent size with <br />operator.
