3391 is the upper end of permanent riprap channel on the #1 Mine outslope.
3392 is a view down the steep riprap channel on the outslope.
3393 is the vegetated channel on the upper Mine 1 bench; view toward
portal backfill slope and SS outcrop above portals.
3394 is upper end of the same channel; channel incision is present here but
obscured by brush.
3395 is view down channel from near crest of portal backfill. Ballcap lower
left center; gully immediately to the right of cap.
3397 is the same gully feature as 3395.
3400 is apparent piping erosion hole at base of SS outcrop, crest of portal
backfill.
3402 is the channel segment on the portal backfill, upstream from the upper-
most intact rock check.
3403 and 3406 show the permanent riprap channel on the #1 Mine bench
outslope. 3407 is the location along the mid- section of the channel where
riprap has been dislodged by flow.
3413 is a view downstream from near the lower end of the riprap channel.
3414 is gully segment downstream of the toe of the riprap segment. 3415 is
view upstream of same segment. 3416 is another view of the same gully
feature; 3417 and 3418 are further downstream.
3410 is the subsidiary gully near the lower end of the mine bench outslope.
Let me know what your thoughts are on this project. I suspect the next step
would be a field visit with Steve and other appropriate staff (Sandy, let me
know who else you would like to be involved, such as Boulay for example).
I would like to progress on this to get the work done in early winter (i.e
December) if that is practicable.
Thanks
Dan
