PROJECT WORK DESCRIPTION <br /> Task 1 <br /> Mobilize and Demobilize Crew and Equipment <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment for Task 1 shall be reflected in a lump sum bid price under Item 1 on the Invitation and <br /> Bid sheet. Payment shall include all the CONTRACTORS expenses for mobilization of <br /> equipment to the site,transportation of the equipment within the Project Area, employee time, <br /> labor and materials necessary to accomplish the requirements of this Task, compliance with the <br /> conditions and requirements described in this Task description, and final clean up of the work <br /> place. <br /> If the price bid for mobilization and demobilization is greater than 15 percent(15%)of the total <br /> contract price, invoices supporting the mobilization costs will be required before payment is <br /> approved. <br /> Payment shall be made as described in Specification 1.0, Mobilization 1 Demobilization of the <br /> General Bid Specifications, Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program, 2006. <br /> Task 2 <br /> Sediment Pond Maintenance: <br /> The sediment pond was constructed within the margins of the ephemeral stream which drains <br /> through the mine site. The sediment pond is in need of repair in order allow flood waters to <br /> safely pass the existing embankment. <br /> The 30" Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP)riser located in the sediment pond must be cut and <br /> removed at the base. The 30"CMP pipe and associated items will be disposed in an approved <br /> landfill or salvaged by the CONTRACTOR. The underground portion of the 30"pipe will be <br /> plugged with concrete to a length of 4 feet. The concrete shall consist of Type II Portland <br /> Cement, conforming to ASTM C 150, unless otherwise approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> The existing emergency spillway on the west side of the pond will be lowered 2 feet and lined <br /> with rip-rap obtained on site. The channel will remain trapezoidal in shape with 2.5H:1 V side <br /> slopes. The spillway dimensions are approximately 50 feet long by 8 feet wide(bottom width). <br /> The spillway will need to be lined with rip-rap for a length of 75 feet starting from the inside of the <br /> channel and down the spillway where it enters the existing channel marked by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. Rip rap, available on site,will consist of 12"to 18"diameter rock. Placement will be <br /> such that voids will be eliminated with rock contacting rock. The rock will be keyed in place eV <br /> the beginning of the spillway to a depth of 3 feet and spaced every 20 feet with the last key at ��srn <br /> the end of the spillway. Side slope rip rap will extend up the sides of the constructed channel to,� <br /> a minimum 4 feet height above the channel base. �Q4,9K. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment of Task 2, Sediment Pond Maintenance.
