Rule 6.5: Geotechnical Stability Exhibit: <br />(1) Please clarify that the applicant has reviewed the requirements of this section. <br />The Last Chance Mine has no proposed impoundments or highwalls with stability concerns. The <br />sediment ponds are designed to overflow across riprap and withstand 100 year storm events. The <br />waste rock pile will be worked to a 3:1, H:V slope, prior to reclamation which calculates as <br />stable. Underground mining includes roof bolting and other MSHA requirements for mine safety <br />and stablity. <br />(3) Please clam that the applicant has reviewed the requirements of this section. <br />There are no potential off site impacts due to failure of any geologic structure or constructed <br />facilities at the Last Chance Mine. <br />(4) Please address the affects of blasting to the off site areas. <br />There are no potential impacts caused by mining or blasting as evidenced by the history on <br />mining at the Last Chance Mine. <br />17 <br />
