EXHIBIT G Page 2
(Water Information)
Moffat County does not use water to process road construction materials. We do not
expect to directly affect surface or ground water systems as a result of this amended
application.
The County's water use on the existing Lyons Pit No. 2 is for the one-half mile of
graveled access road, on which (in 2009) we applied Magnesium Chloride solution for
dust control. A volume of 23,000 gallons was hauled from Moffat County's adjudicated
Shop Pump No. I (located at 822 East First Street, Craig, CO.).
In addition, Moffat County used 12,000 gallons of water for dust control in the pit area,
which water was also hauled from Shop Pump G. We do not expect Amendment No.
002 to increase the existing water use on the Lyons Pit No. 2 in the Development, Mining
and Reclamation Phases of the Project.
Moffat County has a Permit for 2 Stormwater Discharges on the Lyons Pit No. 2 (COR
No. 341315) and we are in compliance with our Stormwater Drainage Permit. We will
continue to comply with all of the necessary stormwater Rules on the Lyons Pit, and for
this Amendment.
EXHIBIT G
(Water Information)
