Map C-4 shows the detailed layout of the facilities area when the crusher and screen plant and <br />wash plants are located at the bottom of the pit. Since it is not known exactly what portable plants <br />will be brought to the site, the dimensions and locations of the plants are approximate. <br />The storage of fuel on site will be as follows: <br />a. Crusher and Screen Plant - there are a total of 6 separate: tanks for diesel fuel, 2 <br />each @ 250 gallons, 2 each @ 500 gallons and 1 @ 600 gallons. This portable plant <br />has separate fuel tanks for each component of the plant::primary crusher with two <br />saddle tanks, 2 cone crushers and 2 screens. <br />b. Asphalt Plant - 1 tank of 20,000 gallons capacity with two compartments, 1 of <br />15,000 gallons of burner fuel and the other of 5000 gallons of diesel as part of a <br />portable plant. <br />c. Ready Mix Plant -I tank of 10,000 gallons diesel, as part of a portable plant. <br />d. Wash Plant - 1 tank @ 3000 gallons as part of a portable- plant. <br />0 This is the maximum storage for the fuel tanks on site. The loader would receive fuel from of one <br />of these tanks. If United does not move the portable asphalt or ready mix plants onto the site, there <br />will be a 1000 gallon tank for the loader only, which will be located near the office trailer outside <br />the 100 year floodplain. Secondary containment for this tank will be provided by installing the <br />tank inside a farm stock tank providing at least 110% of the tank volume <br />All of these tanks are attached to the portable plants themselves. They are all double walled tanks <br />or secondary containment is provided by a steel trough below the tank which can store a volume of <br />at least 110% of the full tank volume. The portable asphalt plant, concrete plant, crusher, screen <br />plant, and wash plant would be located at the pit bottom for the vast majority of the mining <br />operation. These plants would be moved out of the pit if floodwaters rise in the river to a certain <br />level, as part of the staff gage monitoring system. United cannot afford for these plants to be <br />inundated with water; it is in operator's best interest to ensure that these plants are removed before <br />any floodwaters enter the pit. <br />Scott Pit March 10 D-11
