T <br />This tract was originally classified by Peabody Coal as Irrigated Pasture. <br />This 39 acre tract was "Wild Flood Irrigated" in the past. That is to say, there were no <br />furrows, gated pipe, side roll sprinkler system or other methods to control water <br />distribution. Irrigation water was allowed to traverse over the land at will. <br />Lloyd family owns 24 shares of Colorado Cooperative Company irrigation water and all <br />of it is dedicated to this tract. <br />This tract of land has been abandoned from active farming for at least 15 years, <br />according to pre disturbance satellite images and the size and distribution of invasive <br />ros noxious weeds. 1r> <br />The tract of land is owned by five different families and all but one lives out of state.A <br />c,6 <br />There is no evidence the land was ever developed into a tract suitable to be irrigated by <br />a sprinkler system, but rather a flood irrigation technique was utilized <br />A ratio of UPI ofi�water peracre of, irngatedaand untler a "flood irrigate <br />�y s ste "" <br />��m has been developed for the irrigated pasture reference area. This same ratio is <br />used to replace flood irrigated pasture on the Lloyd property, ensuring that the same <br />amount of water is used per acre on both properties. <br />Using this ratio, this means that 16.3 acres will be flood irrigated and restored to Irrigated <br />Pasture (IP). This area could be either baled or grazed.
