Martin
Executive Director
This is formal notification that the Midterm Permit Review (MT-6) for the Bear No. 3 Mine has been
successfully concluded. The Division's one adequacy review comment was satisfied, as documented
below. As stated in the Findings document for MT-6, there was no reclamation cost estimate calculation
associated with MT-6 since the cost estimate was reviewed in December 2009 through Surety Release No.
4 (SL-4). The following is the one midterm review issue that was resolved:
1. It does not appear that the agreed upon revegetation success standards that appear on page 22 of
the Permit Renewal No. 5 findings document were ever formally placed into the permit
application package (PAP). Please either state where the standards appear in the PAP or submit
a minor revision to place these standards into the appropriate section of the PAP.
The Division has no further concerns. The information was submitted and approved in Minor
Revision No. 32.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Sincerely,
seph J.
