EXHIBIT A EAGLE MOUNTAIN PIT 8-13-09 A parcel of land located in the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 4, and the West Half of the Northwest Quarter (W1/2NW1/4) of Section 9, Township 35 North, Range 2 West, New Mexico Principal Meridian, Archuleta County, Colorado, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of Section 4 from which the Southwest Corner of said Section, monumented by a BLM pipe and cap, bears S 00°17'14" E a distance of 478.93 feet; Thence along the following eleven (11) courses; 1.) N 00°17'14" W along the West line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 4 a distance of 850.59 feet to the South Sixteenth Corner common to Sections 4 and 5; 2.) N 89°59'51" E along the north line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4SW1/4) of said Section 4 distance of 954.08 feet; 3.) S 51 °47'35" E along the south line of that power line easement recorded in Book 149 at Page 637 a distance of 614.94 feet to a point on the northwesterly right of way of a proposed road; 4.) S 38°00'00" W along said right of way a distance of 950.85 feet; 5.) Thence southwesterly following the arc of a curve to the left of said right of way (Curve Data: Central Angle = 11'00'00"; Radius = 1540.00 feet; Chord Bearing = S 27°30'00" W; Chord Length = 295.20 feet) a distance of 295.66 feet; 6.) S 22°00'00" W along said right-of-way a distance of 401.74 feet; 7.) N 72°00'00" W a distance of 443.18 feet; 8.) N 00°20'00" W a distance of 510.00 feet; 9.)
