Monitoring Sites; and the Table of Contents of Appendices C through E i
have all been revised to correlate the old site (and map) name to the
new (Paradox) computer name. The new computer name will be used
throughout the following text.
Technical Revision 63 was approved on March 19, 2009. This TR
established ground water points of compliance (GWPOC) for the Seneca II-
W Mine. Appendix 15-3B of the Seneca II-W PAP provides details of this
TR. Well DCAL-02 is the GWPOC well. An analysis of this GWPOC is
provided in the ground water section of this AHR.
Meteoroloqical Data
Precipitation data is collected from a Belfort Weighing Bucket Rain Gage
situated adjacent to Surface Water Site SW-S2W-FG1. Data for this year
may be found in Table 1. Total monthly precipitation data collected at
this site since Water Year 1990 are presented in Table 2. The Seneca II-
W precipitation gage measured 17.48 inches this year. This value is 0.34
inches (20) below the 1990-2009 average of 17.82 inches. The months of
November, December, January, March, May, June and July were above
average. Temperature, wind speed, and direction data from the Seneca II-
W Meteorologic Station are presented in Appendix B. Data from NOAA's
Hayden Station are also provided in Appendix A.
Data from the National Climatic Data Center's Hayden Station is used
here to evaluate the precipitation trend. These data are provided in
Appendix B of the Seneca II-W AHR. For this year, 20.03 inches of
precipitation was measured, which is 2.69 inches (16%) above the 1971-
2000 average. The months of December, January, March, April, May and
June were above average. Snowpack runoff, as estimated by totaling
November through March precipitation values, was 10.17 inches, which was
2.99 inches (42%) above the 1971-2000 average.
Snowpack runoff, estimated using the Seneca II-W precipitation gage, was .
8.88 inches (November-March total), which is 1.74 inches (240) above the
Seneca II-W 1990-2009 average, 7.14 inches.
2
