The compliance limit will be based on a <br />minimum of five quarterly samples from the three wells (minimum <br />sample support of fifteen samples). Data collected to date from the <br />subsurface monitoring well nest is attached. Therefore, <br />the number in the last column of the last row of Table 1 is not a typo. The <br />hourly precipitation rate is defined in the UNSAT-H model using a <br />variable called "HPR". The annual runoff value of 9.78 cm predicted for <br />a precipitation rate of 4 cm/hr is the same as predicted for a <br />precipitation rate of 2 cm/hr. All four UNSAT-H runs for the HPR <br />sensitivity analysis were based on the same precipitation data set. This <br />data is from the year 1968, which is an actual year in the precipitation <br />record that has total annual precipitation as close as possible to the long- <br />term average. The maximum daily precipitation in the 1968 data set is <br />0.75 inches (1.9050 cm). Therefore, for model runs using an hourly <br />precipitation rate of either 2 cm/hr or 4 cm/hr, all precipitation is <br />applied in the first hour of the model. This results in the same annual <br />runoff estimates for HPR values of both 2 and 4 cm/ hr. <br />Final Sunday Mines RTC_v2.doc
