Mr. Hamarat
February 26, 2010
Page 2
based on a hydrologic analysis performed by Wheeler and described in report titled
"Henderson Millwater Barge Project - Hydrology Report" (February, 2005). The available
flood storage capacity in the system at the time of the survey significantly exceeded the
storage requirement. This excess capacity will decrease throughout the coming months
as additional inflows to the system occur and a portion of the storage space is filled with
deposited tailing.
At the current time, it is estimated that there is approximately 5,994 acre-feet of flood
storage capacity available in the tailing pond and another 178 acre-feet in East Branch
Reservoir, for a total of 6,172 acre-feet. Therefore, the current excess flood storage
capacity available is approximately 2,590 acre-feet (6172-3582).
If you have any questions regarding the enclosed information, or if you require additional
information, please call.
Sincerely,
W.
