EXHIBIT C2of2
CON I
&
►
*4►
70A04Y.Hwy.180 Alamosa,:Co.8110t (71g1589867j
d) Map C.3 shows areas to be mined. Total area to be permitted is 89.38 acres
before and after reclamation. The area is broken into three phases.
Phase I is 19.57 acres, Phase II will be 35.92 acres and Phase III will be
33.89 acres. Map C.3.1 shows area to be mined if mining ceases at
ground level. Map C.3.2 shows area to be mined if mining occurs to 15'
depth.
e) See Map CA for vegetation in the affected area. Please see Exhibit J for the
list of vegetation types particular to each soil type.
f) There is an existing flowing aquifer well located on property, but outside the
permit area. Seasonal water exists in the low spot between Phase II &
Phase III. It is not exposed groundwater. Once ground thaws, water will
not exist on the surface beyond 72 hours. The well and pond are located
outside the permit area and there will be no adverse impact to the well or
pond. Mining will not create a pond within the permit areas.
g) There is an existing wire fence along the perimeter of the entire section.
Along the south end of the entire section and Phase I is the existing
Alamosa County gravel Road 6 South.
h) Soils information:
The Natural Resource Conservation Service has classified three soil
types. Please see Map CA for soil type boundaries. Attachment C.H.1
details the breakdown of soil type characteristics.
Soil and vegetation are very similar with slight variances in vegetation
composition due to existing topography.
