• SCOPE OF WORK <br />ORE STORAGE PAD DESIGN <br />VAN 4 MINE <br />1. INTRODUCTION <br />This scope of work addresses the installation of ore storage pads at the Van 4 Mine. Each <br />of these pads would be installed in accordance with Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety (DBMS) requirements. The work covered by the scope of work is <br />summarized in the sections below. <br />2. WORK COVERED BY SCOPE OF WORK <br />2.1 Location <br />The Van 4 Mine is located on Monogram Mesa to the east of the Colorado-Utah state <br />line in the southwest corner of Montrose County, Colorado, approximately 10 miles <br />west of Naturita, Colorado, adjacent to County Road DD19. The legal description of <br />the affected area can be described as the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 29, Township <br />46N, Range 17W, New Mexico Principal Meridian. The location of the Van 4 Mine is <br />shown in Figure 1. <br />0 2.2 Project Description <br />Ore is temporarily stored at a stockpile location at the Van 4 Mine and is routinely <br />transported by truck to the White Mesa Mill near Blanding, Utah for processing (ore is <br />typically stored for relatively short time periods of one to two weeks; less than 180 <br />days). An ore storage pad will be constructed at the stockpile area to contain surface <br />water during future ore storage/ stockpiling activities. <br />3. DRAWINGS <br />Attachment A provides drawings for this scope of work. The drawings indicate the <br />Work to be performed. The drawing set for the Van 4 Mine includes the following: <br />C-1: Van 4 Mine Ore Storage Pad Location <br />D-1: Ore Storage Pad Typical Sections <br />4. SPECIFICATIONS <br />Attachment B provides specifications for this scope of work. The specifications indicate <br />the Work to be performed.
