accept the following technical revision information for the, 83rd. Joint Venture Resource
operation, . reclamation permit number-'. 1vI-1992-069: A lett
er from Aggregate
Industries =WCR, Inc. authorizing submittal of the technical revision materials is
attached The 'City. Of. Greeley proposes entering into agreement with Aggregate
Industries -WCR, Inc:. (mine operator and permit holder) :and Mr: Carl Hill; (property
owner) to direct urban, stormwater drainage through `the mine pit and proposed f naF
groundwater lake. As presented in the current reclamation plan (Exhibit E), the final land:
use for the site includes the creation of two lakes with reclaimed shorelines for private
and recreational use. This technical revision onlyaffects the 'easte'rn most.' lake acid
associated shoreline.: Existing grading; t-'psoiling, and`revegetation methods proposed in
the current reclamation plan.` (Exhibit E) ; and reclamation plan map (Exhibit- F) are
generally not. affected by this revision. `
Revisions to the eastern groundwater lake are presented on the'attached Reclamation Plan
Map Revisions. As "illustrated on the plan map, the proposed storriiwater channel will
: enter the site from under F Street to the: south. Based or a review" of, the Rules aril
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (LRB)'and discussions.
With Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) staff, issues of fi
nal groundwater lake.
Stability,. water quality; and financial warranty are-.addressed' below in support of this
revision. -
This technical revision also proposes that off-site material be used for backfilling`.during
the reclamation process: The use of off-site backfill material will' also only affect the
" eastern most lake and associated shoreline: The off-site material would be generated
from excavation of the stormwater channel directly south and adjacent to. the' site.
