added to the circuit and will provide power for the ADR as part of the MLE Project in the
event of power failure to line power supply system.
The potential total amount of solution in circulation will be about 29,100 gpm, distributed
equally between the Phases I, II, III and IV VLF and associated PSSAs and the Phase 5
VLF and PSSA. At any one time, the amount entering the ADR for gold recovery will be
no more than approximately 17,000 gpm. Water balances associated with the Phases I,
II, III and IV VLF and associated PSSAs have been previously approved under
Amendment No. 8 for up to 19,000 gpm of solution application. This MLE presents
information in Section 6.0 to support an average solution application at a rate of
approximately 16,000 gpm (maximum - 19,000 gpm) at Phases I, II, III and IV VLF and
a maximum solution application at a rate of approximately 10,000 gpm at Phase 5 VLF.
The water balance model for the MLE Project specifies total maximum flows within the
all phases of the VLF at about 29,100 gpm.
Cyanide addition to the enrichment solution circuit will be into the discharge header of
the four 800 horsepower pumps prior to delivering the solution to Phase 5. The
concentration of cyanide in the enrichment solution will be approximately 120 to 150
ppm. Cyanide addition will utilize the existing infrastructure in the ADR with minor
piping required to reach the enrichment discharge header.
Lime addition to the ore at the crushing circuit will provide pH control for the enrichment
solution. It is anticipated that between about 10 and I I pounds of lime per ore ton will be
added. Alkalinity from the Phase 5 enriched pregnant solution will be transferred into the
barren solution being applied to Phases I through IV.
7.1 See attached revised drawing
7.2 No change from Amendment No. 9 Permit Application
TR 58 Revision - March, 2010 Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension
7-5
