<br />7-?Pe <br />GAEDE PIT RECEIVED <br />M-1978-051 MAR I " 4U'ij <br />Technical Revision Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining & Safety <br />Lincoln County with this "Technical Revision" for the Gaede Pit is requesting that all the <br />topsoil for the reclamation of the pit be allowed to be imported. The amended <br />Reclamation Plan submitted with the Pit Amendment on February 14, 2000 calls for 3 to <br />4 inches of topsoil to be placed over the disturbed pit area prior to seeding and mulching. <br />This plan stated that the topsoil would come from developed stockpiles or that some <br />topsoil might need to be imported to meet the specified depth of replacement. This <br />technical revision would require that all the topsoil needed to fulfill the requirements of <br />the Reclamation Plan would be imported. The County routinely removes windblown <br />topsoil from roadway ditches and fencerows and currently has 2 or 3 locations that should <br />provide the necessary depth of topsoil. The Gaede Pit will probably be reclaimed in the <br />year 2012. The County will take the necessary steps to certify that the topsoil imported is <br />clean and does not contain any pollutants that would contaminate the ground or water in <br />the pit or prevent germination and growth of the seed mixture. <br />Included with this request is the Technical Revision Fee of $216.00. <br />HIV <br />MAR 1 (')'ZOIO <br />Division of RedaMdON <br />Mining & Safetf
