Wildcat Mining Corporation Page 8
Property ownership and agreements
Wildcat Mining Corporation is a private Nevada corporation, with headquarters in
San Diego California. Wildcat Mining controls, through ownership and lease
agreements, the properties generally referred to as the May Day mine property
and the Idaho mine property (Figure 2).
James M. Clements, President of Wildcat Mining, purchased all mineral and
surface rights to the Idaho mine property in 2006. This property consists of 15
patented lode mining claims covering a total of approximately 141.5 acres,
specifically the following claims: Idaho Millsite, Idaho Millsite No. 1, Idaho Millsite
No. 2, Alpine, Lord Kitchener, Hartford, Gertrude, Good Hope, Sunrise, Cathryn,
Midnight, Helen, Midnight No. 2, Pay Day, and Pay Day Millsite. An agreement
between Mr. Clements and Wildcat Mining grants access, mining and milling
rights to Wildcat Mining.
All surface and mineral rights to the 151 -acre May Day mine property are owned
by Fairview Land Corporation of Boulder Colorado. The May Day mine property
consists both of patented lode mining claims and townsite patent land. Wildcat
Mining Corporation has a 10 -year lease with Fairview for mining and use of the
May Day property; the lease can be extended as long as production continues.
• Permits and environmental conditions
Mining in Colorado is regulated by the State of Colorado, Department of Natural
Resources, Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, following the "Mineral
Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard
Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining Operations" promulgated in May 1977. This
agency acts as the lead regulatory agency for mining - related activities in
Colorado, operating under Memoranda of Understanding with a number of other
State and Federal agencies.
The purview of the agency includes oversight of mine permitting, mine site
inspections, water use and water source protection, wildlife and environmental
protection, reclamation bonding, reclamation performance, hazardous conditions,
mine employee safety training, and emergency response.
There is an active mine permit in place for the May Day mine, appropriate for the
character of mineral exploration, mine development work and mine production
planned (Permit 1981185, dated 9/5/1986). The permit is presently in the name
of Shalako International; an application for change of operator is in process.
The mining permit is for production of 70,000 tons per year. The state
reclamation bond is in place.
•
January 2007 May Day — Idaho Mine Colorado
