Distances are reported in feet <br />and miles; weights of rock are reported in short tons; weights of gold and silver <br />are reported in troy ounces; and concentrations of these metals in samples are <br />reported in troy ounces per short ton (opt). <br />RELIANCE ON OTHER EXPERTS <br />In the preparation of this report, the author has relied extensively upon the <br />personal experience and recollections of Mr. John Ferguson of Mayday, <br />Colorado. Mr. Ferguson has lived in southwest Colorado for decades, was <br />employed in the May Day mine in the years 1978 -1987, has worked in numerous <br />other mines and mills throughout the San Juan Mountains, and is currently the <br />on -site technical manager for Wildcat Mining. Mr. Ferguson's contributions were <br />particularly important for the sections concerning mine history and mine <br />operating plans. <br />The author has reviewed the public documents of La Plata County, Colorado, to <br />confirm property descriptions and ownership. A more exhaustive review of title <br />was not within the scope of this report. Wildcat Mining Corporation purchased <br />the mineral and surface rights of the Idaho property in 2006; in the course of this <br />transaction, appropriate title review was completed. <br />• Similarly, the author has reviewed the public records of the State of Colorado, <br />Department of Natural Resources, Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety to <br />confirm the status of necessary operating permits, and the public records of the <br />State of Colorado, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Water <br />Resources to confirm the status of water rights. <br />PROPERTY DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION <br />Property Location <br />The May Day Mine is located near the unincorporated village of Mayday, La <br />Plata County, Colorado. The mine and settlement are situated at the mouth of <br />La Plata Canyon on the south flank of the La Plata Mountains within Sections 21 <br />and 28, Township 36 North, Range 11 West, at latitude 37 22' North, longitude <br />108 ° 04' West. The May Day No. 1 mine portal is at an elevation of 9318 feet; the <br />May Day No. 2 portal is at an elevation of 8916 feet. The valley of the La Plata <br />River at Mayday is at an elevation of approximately 8600 feet.
