Colowyo Coal Company <br />2009 Annual Reclamation and Hydrology Report <br />SECTION 4 - SEED TAG INFORMATION AND APPROVED <br />• <br />REVEGETATION MIX <br />RULE REQUIREMENT <br />RULE 2.04.13(1)(a-f) <br />2.04.13(1) by February 15, or other such date as agreed on, each permittee shall file an <br />annual reclamation report covering the previous calendar year for all areas under <br />bond. The report shall include, but not limited to, text, discussion and maps which <br />address: <br />• the name and address of the permittee and permit number <br />• location and number of acres disturbed during that year <br />• location and number of acres backfilled and graded during that year <br />• location and number of acres topsoiled during that year <br />• the species, location and number of acres of vegetation planted during that <br />year, including any augmented seeding or cultural practices <br />• location, number of acres and date of planting for all previously revegetated <br />areas <br />• <br />The species of plants seeded on Colowyo's reclamation areas follow the approved seed <br />mixture located in Volume 1, page 2.05-51 through 2.05-53. <br />The Division regulations contain consistent themes that mine operations and <br />reclamation are to be conducted in such a way as to minimize adverse environmental <br />impacts and ensure that reclaimed lands will support the approved postmining land <br />use. As part of Colowyo Coal Company's Best Management Practices, Colowyo will <br />apply herbicides to the land for the control of known weed species. Chemicals <br />applied within the mine permit boundary. <br />GENERAL DISCUSSION <br />Seed Mixture - Colowyo's Reclamation Seed Mixture tables are found in Figure 4-1. <br />Seed Tags - 115.25 acres were seeded during the report period; 83.3 acres were <br />reclamation and 31.95 acres of topsoil stockpiles and embankments.
