suitable for those uses. The suitability of Trapper's surface water for wildlife and livestock is expected
to continue based on long-term trends in Trapper's water data.
The only apparent major hydrologic impacts at Trapper are TDS loading. Values of total suspended
solids (TDS) were on the low side of ranges observed in previous years. The TDS of the surface water
from the mine area is similar to the TDS from the non-mined area; therefore, an increase has not been
defined, except for an increase in TDS during low-flow conditions.
Discharges at the Trapper Mine are regulated by the Colorado Discharge Permit System permit number
CO-003115. No discharges exceeded permit criteria during water year 2008.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions at (303) 866-3567 ext 8134.
Sincerely,
67`?' 11
Jason Musick
Environmental Protection Specialist
